They say that one of the best things a person can do is to make fun of their own self. This may or may not be the case, but it seems to work for Lizzy the Lezzy. Of course, she doesn’t just make fun of herself. She makes fun of all Lesbians, turning gay cliches on their heads. It’s pretty funny to watch and I find myself looking forward to new Lizzy the Lezzy episodes all the time.

I came across her on MySpace and found myself watching all the videos and passing them on.

If you aren’t up on Lizzy yet, here is your heads-up!

If you are wondering who in the world Lizzy the Lezzy is, you are not a real Lesbian! Okay…maybe you are, but you aren’t a real Myspacer. A lot of the fame that Lizzy the Lezzy has can be accredited to the Myspace phenomenon, giving so many ‘little people’ the chance to get noticed.

So who is Lizzy? She is the brain child of a woman named Ruth Selwyn and she has gained enormous popularity through the MySpace Films.

She makes a joke out of everything Lesbian, from the fact that we supposedly move in together on the second date to the fact that we like to cuddle after sex. Her infamous quote is, “Everyone’s a Lesbian These Days.” Have you ever thought that to yourself? I know I have!

Of course Lizzy gets some flack, just as real flesh and blood Lesbians who don’t hide in a hole do. They say that since she is a cartoon, Ruth Selwyn is trying to teach kids that it is okay to be gay. At least that was the response on an article that was posted about her not too long ago. If you get angry easily, you may want to stay away from that site. Be warned. This guy is a real piece of work!

Check out her nob-nibbling counterpart, Gary the Gay as well. He is pretty funny, and if you are a nob-nibbling gay man rather than a muff-munching Lesbian you may enjoy his humor a bit more than Lizzy’s anyway.

I will try and find a Lizzy the Lezzy video that I can post on here for tomorrow. Today, it just doesn’t seem to be working for me. Look for a video with Gary the Gay also; they do a number of things together! You can also check them out on her MySpace page. Think of it as animated stand-up comedy, because that is exactly what it is.
